Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting Residential Solutions customers by phone with technical questions, program concerns & claims and the creation of service requests for our ~25 products & services. Responsibilities include dispatching of work orders to our external contractor network of ~125 service companies in four jurisdictions. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting contractors & technicians, utility service delivery teams and Field Coordinators by phone with customer program issues & resolving claims.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Residential Solutions department customers by phone with questions, claims and concerns
  • Dispatching of service requests & work orders to external Contractors.
  • Reconciling and processing vendor incentives.
  • Reconciling and processing customer rebates.
  • Preparing reports to update program participation and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinating inspections to ensure compliance with 10% mandate.
  • Managing basic Accounts Payable submission and completing end of month reconciliation.
  • Working with vendors to ensure appropriate paperwork and supporting documents received.
  • Responding to rebate status inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • Responding to general questions from internal and external sources.
  • Handling general administrative duties as assigned.
  • Participating in special projects as assigned.
Basic/Required Qualifications
  • High School/GED
  • 3 years minimum related experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Field trade/technical experience in the residential repair of electrical, HVAC, plumbing or smart home technology
  • Understanding of residential infrastructure like; electrical wiring, water heaters and heating & cooling systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to resolve customer escalations
  • Computer and keyboarding skills
Working Conditions
  • Virtual Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period. However, virtual employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility.
