The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is an integral component of the Supply Chain team by ensuring incoming receipts and outgoing shipments are accurate and complete. Comply with SQF, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), Food Quality Plan (FQP) standards. The position and its essential functions may change over time and these changes may not necessarily be reflected in the position description. The Company may, at its sole discretion, add to, change, or expand the essential or marginal functions of this position.

The Role

• Keep product tidy by ensuring there is no dust or starch on top of pallets
• Validate incoming shipments per the Receiving SOP and elevate discrepancies to the Material Planners and Finance as needed
• Coordinate transportation of Finished Goods to Customers with support from Customer Service following Shipping SOP for outgoing shipments ensuring documentation is correctly completed and thorough
• Work with Material Planners to coordinate deliveries from vendors to balance out outside storage cost and transportation cost.
• Support, participate in, and meet the Company overall Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSM).
• Comply with SQF, Food Safety Plan (HACCP), and Food Quality Plan (FQP) standards.
• Perform all duties in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with Company policies and procedures and elevate concerns to management
• Other duties assigned

The Candidate

• Minimum five (5) years experience in warehousing/logistics functions in a manufacturing environment;
• Thorough understanding of receiving, inventory and material handling procedures
• Working knowledge of warehousing and inventory control processes
• Problem solving and analytical ability
• Accuracy and attention to detail
