FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trains current and new staff
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Provides constructive and timely performance input
- Handle issue arising in shipping & inventory handling
Role & Responsibilities
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with Project Management/Shop Teams, Vendors/Suppliers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manages and help Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Oversees the unloading of trucks, deliveries, sorts, and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily loads in and out of the plant and counting accurately.
- Safely operate a forklift
- Engages with forklift operators, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.
Shipping and Receiving Qualifications/Skills:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 3-5 years of Lead and/or Supervisory shipping & receiving responsibility
- Sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
