FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trains current and new staff
• Oversees the daily workflow of the department
• Provides constructive and timely performance input
• Handle issue arising in shipping & inventory handling

Role & Responsibilities

• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Collaborates and communicates with Project Management/Shop Teams, Vendors/Suppliers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Manages and help Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
• Oversees the unloading of trucks, deliveries, sorts, and stocks receivables.
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily loads in and out of the plant and counting accurately.
• Safely operate a forklift
• Engages with forklift operators, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.

Shipping and Receiving Qualifications/Skills:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 3-5 years of Lead and/or Supervisory shipping & receiving responsibility
• Sorting incoming and outgoing stock
• Receiving, stocking, and stacking
• Pulling, packing, and loading
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Able to work independently and within a team

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
• Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
