Shipping & Receiving Manager

DDM Steel Construction, LLC is a small but growing steel manufacturer delivering design, fabrication, and installation services to our clients in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas.

We are currently looking to add a Shipping & Receiving Manager to our production team.

In this role you will be responsible for organizing inventory of miscellaneous and structural steel, prime painting steel, loading and unloading trucks, and checking to be sure all deliveries are correct according to manifests. There will also be occasions where deliveries or pick-ups are needed if regular driver is unavailable.

This position requires an experienced, energetic, and detail-focused individual that wants to be a part of a growing team and company. This individual should be able to multitask at a moment’s notice and be able to handle constant changing situations. The ideal candidate will have a background in using a forklift and/or a lull. and a clean driver’s license for loads within busy city limits. CDL not required. Delivery vehicles include 26’ ft Flatbed and 12ft Stake Body.

Key Responsibilities Include: · Keeping track of all inventory and the projects they are assigned to · Prime painting of steel as required for specific projects · Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting customer expectations. · Ensure that the load is secure and meets road requirements · Assist in loading vehicle with materials · Perform shop duties including miscellaneous duties during down time · Responsible to ensure hours are logged to proper job and report weekly for payroll. · Work extended hours as per project requirements.

Requirements: · Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of warehouse inventory experience and at least 2 years of forklift experience. · Exceptional organization skills · Clean Driver’s License · Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient and profitable manner. · Be willing to work during off hours, possibly weekends, if project deadlines call for it.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
