SHOP FOREMAN:

The Allen Company, Inc., is a leading Road Construction and Asphalt Paving Contractor. Our business operations are made up of limestone rock quarries, road construction, asphalt paving, concrete work, grading, drainage, site preparation, excavation, and utility work.

The Allen Company has expanded to 4 Quarry locations and 5 Asphalt Plants. From providing driveway gravel to paving parking lots to developing major construction sites, we offer a comprehensive line of services. We also cater to developers that require site preparation, excavation, utility work, concrete work, asphalt paving, and road construction.

The Allen Company is seeking a Shop Foreman in Danville, Kentucky to maintain our Danville Shop and plan, coordinate and supervise the work of the maintenance staff.

Typical Duties:

*Plan, schedule, assign and supervise the duties of the maintenance staff.

*Dispatch mechanics and greasers to jobsites.

*Schedule and maintain day-to-day tasks at the Shop.

*Order parts.

*Order and track off-road and on-road diesel fuel.

*Maintain receipts.

*Promote a safe working culture for all Shop employees.

*Instructs and advises staff on changes in policies, procedures and work standards.

Must be able to :

*Communicate with crews via 2-way radios

*Open Shop on a daily basis

*Supervise maintenance staff

*Maintain accuracy in documentation and pay attention to detail

*Plan ahead and have good organizational skills

*Work effectively with customers, vendors and outside contractors.
