That's where the Family Justice Center and the SOScrisis line come in—we are a one-stop service agency for victims of domestic/family violence,sexual assault, and stalking in St. Joseph County.

Position Overview:

As a Weekend On-Call Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our crisis line operations. The position runs from 4 PM Friday to 8 AM Monday. You will respond not only to hotline calls but also to SOS calls from partner hospitals, ensuring that help is available around the clock.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming hotline and hospital SOS calls, providing support and resources to individuals in crisis.

● Maintain a calm and empathetic demeanor while handling sensitive situations.

● Document calls and interactions accurately for reporting purposes.

● Collaborate with team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for those

seeking support.

Commitment:

Candidates must commit to a minimum of two weekends per month.

Compensation:

● Stipend: $40 per day

● Hourly Rate: $25per hour when responding to calls

Qualifications:

● Strong communication skills and a sense of empathy.

● Experience in crisis management, mental health, or related fields is a plus.

● Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.

● Must be able to pass an extensive background check
