What you will do:

This is secretarial work performing typing, filing and general office duties, which require some independent judgment.

  • Serve as office receptionist for answering and directing mainline phone calls.
  • Performs special assignments, research, and report preparation.
  • Assist attorneys in collecting information such as emplyment, medical, and other records.
  • Maintain contact lists for Office of General Counsel statewide, and office's email groups.
  • Make travel arrangements for attorneys.
  • Cross train with other support staff.
  • Assist with requests in the Public Records Center (GovQA).
  • Assist with special projects for the office.
  • Maintain the time off calendar updated.
  • Responsible for handling the daily mail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Knowledge of the techniques for handling telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ability to organize files and other records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
