Staffing Coordinator Urgent Care

The Emergency Services Staffing Coordinator provides daily support for staffing for the Emergency Services Division in conjunction with the Emergency Services Director, Program Manager, and Supervisors in the planning, coordinating and monitoring of administrative actives.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, creating, coordinating, and monitoring the staffing/scheduling for RNs, Medics, LPNs, Suture Ortho Specialist, PCAs, all orientee’s, and nursing/paramedic students in the Emergency Department and Urgent Cares.

Provides administrative/secretarial support to the Program Director/Manager and management personnel.

Schedule: (Full time, Benefits Eligible, Typical Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30- 4:30pm)

Coordinates and collaborates in all aspects of the professional and support staff scheduling for the Emergency Department and Urgent Cares, including but not limited to daily staffing, daily bid management, tardiness and ill calls, vacation schedules, FMLA, LOA, master templates, transcription, and schedule publication through various electronic resources.

Performs payroll for Emergency Services clinical staff.

Assists Leadership team with entry of staff education and required documentation into databases and SharePoint.

Assists Leadership team with additional secretarial support and operational activities such as stocking supplies, distributing and delegating communications, maintaining contact information, room scheduling, file and record retrieval, and creating moderately complex correspondence, spreadsheets and visual presentations for departmental projects and processes.

Assists with greeting new staff at LAUNCH or UAP and collecting new employee contact information.

Identifies and participates in selected learning experience related to personal growth and/or maximizing job performance.



High school graduate or equivalent.

Licensure Requirement:

Valid Ohio Driver’s License required to travel between Urgent Care Network and Emergency Department(s).

Required Experience:

Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, documentation, time management and medically terminology understanding preferred.

Knowledgeable in PC Operation, Outlook, Word and Excel spreadsheet.

Knowledge of correct grammar and spelling.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of scheduling staffing principles or previous scheduling/staffing experience preferred.

A minimum of two years secretarial experience, health care setting preferred.
