THE JOB:

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will execute strategic sourcing activities for defined category strategies, assisting in developing and growing programs, identifying additional managed spend categories and manage vendor relationships and communications for MGM Resorts International and subsidiary companies.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Lead strategic sourcing efforts for assigned categories as required by the company’s various properties.

  • Conduct in‐depth financial and spend analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.

  • Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify market trends for opportunities to reduce cost.

  • Collaborate with internal customers to determine property requirements and expectations.

  • Assist in developing vertical sourcing plans.

  • Develop and issue comprehensive, consolidated global Request for Proposals (RFP’s).

  • Conduct RFP analysis to assist in determining award scenarios based on identifying the best supplier to provide the right product, quality, price and food safety.

  • Negotiate, write and execute supplier contracts for assigned projects in conjunction with Corporate Legal.

  • Monitor and report supplier performance, property purchase trends and program compliance.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues.

  • Identify and develop qualified diverse suppliers.

  • Identify alternative products or processes to support company sustainability initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience conducting bid processes (RFI, RFP and informal bids) and negotiating supplier agreements.

  • Demonstrated capability to operate independently and with limited oversight.

  • Capable of effectively working at a desk for prolonged periods throughout the day.
