Job Description/Responsibilities

Position designed to support the Sazerac Supply Chain team to ensure financial control of inventory and processes as well as assisting in expanding the capability of the Supply Chain team by focusing on eliminating, streamlining, and automating processes wherever possible.

 

  • Create and develop a personal development plan with assistance of Manager to improve a skill/competency that will develop personal skills and improve performance. Improve at least one skill each year as agreed with manager. Deliver on performance against outcomes. Continuously improve the quality of processes, products, services and the culture in which we work.
  • Assist Inventory Planners in the identification and automation of processes from demand planning thru inventory reconciliation wherever possible/practical. Work with bailment states, internal I/T, VMI customers, and 3rd party organizations to develop methods to reduce human keying and increase the timeliness and accuracy of Sazerac books.
  • Support the development and implementation of tools and processes that enable Sazerac to keep accurate and timely inventory records efficiently. Support the development, implementation, and adoption of technology and processes that enable to Sazerac to calculate optimal inventory levels to meet service targets, working capital targets, and minimize costs. Support integration of acquisitions for the Supply Chain Team.
  • Maintain, cleanse, and analyze data to predict and improve our ability to service our customers and support a smooth and efficient supply chain to maximize profit. Support initiatives that enhance our ability to effectively use data to meet strategic targets.
  • Insure the bailment team, bailment states, 3rd party warehouses and other Supply Chain areas are reporting accurate inventory.  Develop reconciliation tools and maintain those tools to ensure accurate and timely information in the area of bailment inventory, invoicing, credits, commissions, and other Supply Chain areas. Ensure that both Sazerac and 3rd party organizations present the most accurate and timely information possible/practical. Support the automation of inventory transactions for 3rd party warehouses.
  • Help lead the efforts to evaluate best practices in the industry for supply chain management. Work closely with IT, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to continuously improve our Supply Chain operating and reporting systems. Support the implementation and day to day operations of supply chain software such as the Atlas Planning Software, TMS, and supply chain portions of our ERP. Integrate new business, distributor changes, acquisitions, and other initiatives into our databases and systems.
  • Identify career goals and communicate to supervisor. Develop the identified skills needed to attain the desired career path and work towards career advancement.
Qualifications/RequirementsMUST
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or commensurate experience
  • Experience in process design, implementation and improvement
  • 1 Year Experience in manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS)
  • 1 Year Experience with inventory control, perpetual inventory and budget process.
PREFERRED
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • 1 Year Experience in development of query programs on AS400 or similar proficiency
