As the Supply Engineering Project Coordinator, you will work supporting projects for Supply Engineering teams performing a diverse mixture of engineering activities related to lifecycle support, parts documentation, and engineer-to-order design support applying technical principles and rigor to develop solutions that satisfy product and customer requirements for Trane Supply. Interaction with product design teams, advanced engineering, marketing, field operations, and suppliers will be needed to successfully achieve this team’s goals. The selected individual will participate in team decision making and problem solving with employees throughout the cross-functional organization. This role will be a hybrid role located in La Crosse, WI.

Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):

  • The primary focus of this position is to support the business growth strategy by executing a broad range of NPD, Productivity, and technical project activities.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and develop solutions for customers within service level agreements.
  • Support the analysis and research requests for supersessions and last time buy of components.
  • Apply technical expertise to solve problems or to gauge appropriateness of product to various applications to ensure lifecycle continuity.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering designs, drawings, and SBOM’s.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
  • Submit cases to ETC, Parts Doc teams to complete project part setups, NLA, Source changes, BOM updates, etc.
  • Attend Project Meetings and update/maintain files to drive improvement via Op Ex tools - Asset file, Obsolescence File, Kit tabs, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: An associate degree is required, preference in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited technical school; or equivalent technical experience will be considered.
  • Experience with satisfying customer orders via service level agreements preferred.
  • Creo CAD software experience is preferred.
  • Key Competencies:
o Application experience with HVAC products, thermodynamics, heat transfer technology, and electrical products is a plus.
o Ability to understand, condense, and organize information to make informed engineering decisions quickly and efficiently.
o Strong organization, planning and execution skills required, with an attention to detail.
o Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, manufacturing plants, and leadership to facilitate workflow and resolve project barriers and issues across time zones and global regions.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
o Self-starter, critical thinker with desire to learn.
