Job Description

Systems Engineer (Intermediate)Full Time Aberdeen Proving Ground, MDSecret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

Referral Bonus: $1,000

Sign-on Bonus: $2500


Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer who can independently perform a wide range of systems engineering services to ensure PL EA is compliant with program requirements and objectives, interoperability requirements, configuration management requirements, and similar Program-Wide responsibilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Capabilities analysis.
  • Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) efforts.
  • Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
  • System and/or software integration.
  • Platform integration.
  • Interoperability with various Command, Control, and Communications (C3) systems.
  • Technical or operational testing.
  • Sustainment and refreshment of capabilities.
  • Configuration management.
  • Planning and strategy meetings.
  • Program review and coordination meetings.
  • General systems engineering, systems implementation planning and system test and evaluation services.
  • Prepare specifications, plans, analyses, modeling, simulations, and reports.
  • Review engineering output in the areas of systems level operation and maintenance procedures, performance improvements criteria, tools assessments, metrics management, quality assurance, configuration management, technical orders, and maintenance practices.
  • Conduct systems engineering trade-off analysis.

Requirements: MUST HAVE

  • Must have an active secret clearance.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Staff Engineering work in an acquisition portfolio to include:
    • General knowledge of Defense Acquisition, Acquisition pathways, and associated technical processes.
    • Technical reviews supporting an acquisition program.
    • Technical artifacts supporting acquisition processes.
    • Market Research.
    • Requirements Decomposition, Refinement and Traceability.
    • Engineering Analysis in support of Cost Estimation, Risk Analysis, and Configuration Management.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of SIGINT and EW Systems.
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) principles and applications for military purposes.
  • Knowledge of CMOSS, SOSA, MORA, APPCEMA, APPEW.
  • Knowledge Management and Business Process Engineering.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Four (4) years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.
