Job Description

This posting is for a Floor Associate position at P and P Uniforms, a Tactical supplies retail store that services first responders throughout Riverside County and California. We operate under the umbrella of Woodcrest Ace Hardware, our parent company.

Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily based out of Riverside County, California. No travel will be expected.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Store Manager and in their absence reports to the Manager-on-Duty. There are no direct reports to this position.

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to uphold the Company’s Core Values while on the clock. The result of this should lead to exceptional customer service to every customer, every time. Specifically, this includes ensuring a positive shopping experience, assisting with customer fittings, managing of inventory, observing security protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Availability Required: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering their inquiries, and offering product knowledge and recommendations. This will require becoming familiar with the store’s inventory as well as store policies and return procedures.
  • Help customers find the right size and fit for their uniforms by accurately measuring and fitting garments. Provide guidance and markings for alterations when necessary.
  • Assist with inventory control, including receiving shipments, restocking merchandise, conducting regular down-stocking / front-facing of inventory throughout the store, checking stock levels periodically throughout the day, and assisting with inventory counts.
  • Assist with merchandising and maintaining product displays to maximize sales opportunities and enhance the overall store appearance.
  • Operating the cash register, processing transactions accurately, and handling cash, credit, or electronic payments.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including sweeping, dusting, and ensuring aisles are clear of debris.
  • Follow safety protocols, including the proper use of equipment and ensuring customers are also adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with store management and team members to achieve sales goals, improve operational efficiency, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Addressing customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalating issues to Team Leads, if necessary.
  • Suggest complementary products or accessories to customers to enhance their purchase.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers and peers.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, and bend for an extended period as well as move and handle up to 25lbs.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
Salary Range & Benefits:
The salary range for the Team Member (Part Time) position is $16.50 to $19.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position includes the following benefits: twenty-four (24) hours of paid sick time per year and an employee discount on product sold in the store.
