You *MUST* have recent Work Experience of 3-5 years with a "Managed Service Provider" - MSP - (IT Company) - That supports Small Businesses.

This is a LEVEL 2 Network Engineer/Technical Support Specialist Position that involved some project work, Onsite work at client locations in the Baltimore Metro area, and remote Helpdesk Support (work From Home)

  • Onsite at Clients about 20-25% -AND- Work from Home about 75-80%

Responsibilities include Supporting all areas of Small Business IT

Experience with any of the following is a PLUS: SonicWALL firewalls, Dell Latitude & Optiplex computers, Netgear Insight Cloud Switch Management, Unifi Ubiquity Cloud Management, DNSFilter, ThreatLocker, NinjaRMM, Sharepoint Cloud Drives, DUO MFA/2FA Management

>> Connectwise Manage Ticketing System & ScreenConnect/Connectwise Control
>> NijaOne RMM

Most Clients are: Medical, Legal, Accounting, Non Profit, Financial, Gov. Contractors, Engineering, Energy, Education & more

** Required Social skills consistent with building confidence with small business owners

** Required Server and workstation troubleshooting skills

** Required Experience managing and maintaining virtual servers in Hyper-V or VMWare

** Required Experience with Office 365 Management

** Required Experience managing/maintaining Public DNS records, Domain Management

** Required Experience managing solutions for typical small business IT needs Including the following:

** Preferred: Server PROJECT experience - Migration Experience

(Azure AD Connect, Azure AD Sync, SharePoint Drives, MS OneDrive, cloud storage, AD/Azure shares and permissions, group policy, wireless setup, printers, RDP, Terminal Servers, Domain Controllers, file servers, RD Gateway, SSL Certificates, Site to Site VPN, Switch Management, Wifi Management, Quickbooks, SQL, SAGE, etc)

** Preferred: experience with General Firewall Management/Policy and rule creation, and Managed Switch configurations for VLAN/LAG etc..

** ** Preferred: experience with tier 2/3 escalated IT support issues

*** Preferred: Project experience - Migration projects between servers old to new, on premise to cloud, cloud to cloud, hosted tenant migrations, all typical server migrations as expected for hardware rotation as needed.

- The job entails working with a variety of small business owners, employees and other IT staff on maintenance and upkeep of all day to day IT needs. Onsite visits are needed with some clients to fix problems, install new equipment. Much of the work we do is exclusively remote (work from home)

Some after hours work is needed but on-call rotation schedules are required and shared between IT staff. Some after hours, weekends or weeknight may be required occasionally in order to prevent interruption to client systems during normal working hours.
