Job Title: Telecommunications Project Manager
Location: Hybrid role in Las Vegas, NV 89106
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay Range: $57.14/hr. on W2
Job Description:
- Looking for a Project Manager who will manage ongoing wireless projects and provide direction, coordination, and execution of project management functions associated with large, complex wireless projects.
- Tasks include managing third party vendors, monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, risk assessment & management and provide reporting as required.
- In addition, tasks may include performing zoning research and interviewing zoning/permitting personnel to obtain jurisdiction approval requirements; preparing entitlement agreements and zoning/permitting application packages required for jurisdiction approvals for installation or modification of wireless communication facilities.
- The Project Manager will provide internal & external customer communications and ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner and within budget.
- The candidate must have a strong background leading wireless deployment projects and work on tight deadlines with changing priorities.
- The candidate will also need to be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and advanced Excel and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Major Tasks:
- Project manage large, complex wireless projects to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget based on delivery timelines; maintain and monitor project plans and project schedules in Site Tracker and other databases as required.
- Manage third party vendors performing site acquisition and Architectural and Engineering tasks.
- Negotiate, draft, and secure entitlement documentation such as leases, licenses, and easements with supporting exhibits.
- Willingness to meet with local municipalities to facilitate zoning, permitting and address wireless site design challenges.
- Analyze communications and requests from customers, support departments, and subcontractors and determine what course of action is necessary. Update appropriate management team and stakeholders on project status.
- Work closely with functional business divisions, boundary partners, other project managers and customers in defining project priorities, approach, resources requirements and timing of deliverables.
- Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings; document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
- Ensure projects adhere to defined processes and procedures, and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
- Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of wireless telecom project management experience
- Strong skills in MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required, with the ability to become proficient in other software tools as needed, such as Google Earth and Visio.
- Working knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, vendor management, and budgeting
- Demonstrate Customer service orientation with a strong and creative problem-solving approach
- Team player with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines with strong follow-through
- Ability to organize and prioritize activities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must maintain strict confidentiality of extremely sensitive data, records, files, conversations, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SiteTracker and/or other project management databases
- Exceptional interpersonal/people skills including verbal and written communication skills, integrity, sound judgment and decision-making ability to all organizational levels.
- The ability to modify the messaging appropriately to various technical, managerial, and leadership audiences is critical for this position.
