Job Description

Sound Claims Handling:
Claims handling is the basis on which an insurance company is ultimately judged by clients. We are counting on you to use sound claim handling as you provide prompt communication, follow established claims policies and guidelines, and comply with legal and regulatory expectations.

Strong Interpersonal Communication:
Professional, timely, and personalized communication with all stakeholders is a basic expectation of the role whether over the phone, in person, or via written communication.

Effective Organization and Follow Through:
A key driver of satisfaction with the claims process is our commitment to keeping claimants informed about the status of their claim. Behaviors such as ensuring your desktop is up-to-date and having effective follow up methods for your work are critical factors for success.

Qualifications:
Must have prior Grade 63 ICS, TCR1, or CDU claims experience and successful completion of orientation required. Top quartile results in Customer Service Surveys, Quality, and QCR/Productivity also required.
Position also open to candidates with prior successful experience in TCR2, CU, Unrepresented, Attorney Claims Early Resolution, Demand or Litigation/Complex.
Must be able to speak in a clear, empathic, and professional manner by telephone.
Must be able to document files in a clear, concise, professionally written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees of the organization.
Licensing may be required in some states.
Must obtain and maintain the required licenses issued by the state insurance department.
Must be available to customers and able to handle pending claim files and stressful situations.
Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting, multi-tasking skills.
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information.
Other Information:
Must meet the in-office requirements of 4 to 5 days per week through training and transition (approximately 6 months.)

Annual Salary
$51,000.00 - $99,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
