Hours for this position are Monday - Friday 8:45am - 2:15pm.

Your Role
Assist members with financial transactions accurately and efficiently. Identify opportunities to promote products, services and solutions that benefit members while building a positive relationship.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Receives and processes member financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments.
• Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance situations.
• Adheres to and follows all governmental policies, regulations, internal processes and procedures.
• Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning services and directs members to appropriate department for specific information and service.
• Identifies opportunities and cross-sells/offers products and services to members.
• Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including computer input, answering the telephone and other duties assigned.

Performance Measurements

• Provides friendly, professional service to members. Makes sure member's name is used during the transaction.
• Balances daily and is able to count and close drawer within 15 minutes at the end of a shift.
• Contributes a fair amount of branch transactions based on branch volume
• Have no more than one posting error per month

Qualifications

• High School education or GED Required
• Less than a year Six to twelve months of cash handling and/or customer service experience. Preferred
• Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. (High proficiency)
• Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. (High proficiency)
• Team-oriented, member-focused and enjoys helping others while performing routine tasks. (High proficiency)
• Careful attention to details of work including accuracy, balancing and quality. (High proficiency)
• Can operate office equipment including computers, copiers/scanners, cash counting machines and coin counters. (High proficiency)
• Basic understanding of math and cash counting/handling skills. (High proficiency)
• Ability to interpret and administer credit union policies and procedures. (High proficiency)
• Maintains confidentiality related to credit union operations and member information. (High proficiency)
