Position: 15001 - Test Analyst
Location: Hybrid – Rosemead, CA

Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Test Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Test Analyst will be responsible for developing and documenting test cases and user stories to facilitate both manual and automated testing processes. The ideal candidate should possess a keen understanding of test coverage and risk-based testing methodologies. Additionally, experience in the electrical utility, transmission, and distribution sector is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document comprehensive test cases and user stories to support structured manual testing and automated testing procedures.
• Collaborate closely with business clients and vendors to gather requirements and specifications for test case development.
• Conduct interviews with business clients to ensure a thorough understanding of system functionalities and user needs.
• Employ risk-based testing strategies to prioritize testing efforts and maximize test coverage.
• Utilize test case management tools such as JIRA to organize and track testing activities effectively.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in developing test cases for software applications, preferably in the electrical utility or transmission & distribution domain.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, including risk-based testing principles.
• Proficiency in using test case management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple testing tasks simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working in the electrical utility, transmission, or distribution industry.
• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and tools.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
