Job Description
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a TIG Welder-2nd Shift (Relocation Offered).
The hours for this role are 2:30pm-11pm
The hourly rate for this position is $32.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Position Overview
- Fabricate details and duct assemblies by scribing, cutting, and grinding to tight tolerances per blueprint. (90%)
- Weld using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) on Inconel, Stainless Steel, and possibly titanium alloys having a thickness range of .020” to .125” per AWS D17.1. (10%)
- Ensure quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement using a variety of hand tools and gauges.
- Provide mentorship and onboarding support for new hires and provide training support when needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including 5S+ activities, and engage in safe work practices by wearing PPE, following work instructions, and reporting unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements
H.S. Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.- Minimum of one year of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc welding on Inconel and/or Stainless with thickness ranging from .020 to .125 OR completion of welding degree/certification.
- Authorized to work in US without sponsorship.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Skills:
Position Criteria:
Position requires strong math skills and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.- Certification to, AWS specification D17.1 is necessary.
- Strong visual inspection skills are required.
- Experience with band saw, belt sander, chop saw, rotary tools/grinders and handheld inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, loops, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand 8 hours a day
- Must be able to read and write English
