We are currently seeking a Traffic Control Plan Designer to join our team at our work site in the Salt Lake City, UT area. The TCPD will create temporary traffic control plans to allow for contractors to safely complete work while maintaining MUTCD and entity standards.


Pay is $24 per hour and may increase based on experience

What You'll Do:

  • Design temporary traffic control plans using AutoCAD/RapidPlan (TTCP software)
  • Submit TTCP to contractors and entities for approval
  • Communicate with other departments and customers to maintain understanding of ongoing work via phone, email or in person
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

What We Need from You:

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Good technical skills and computer experience utilizing AutoCAD/RapidPlan programs are preferred
  • ATSSA Traffic Control Technician or Traffic Control Supervisor Certification or experience is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of MUTCD standards and local government traffic control requirements is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, can follow instructions as given and has the ability to work independently or as a team member is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines are required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (outlook, excel, and word) are required.
