Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Assists with training requirements and administrative needs in support of company training goals. Evaluates training initiatives to measure effectiveness.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):

  • Maintain current procedures and work instructions.
  • Develop training materials under service center Training Managers direction and guidance.
  • Conduct train the trainer program as required.
  • Provide on the job training with assistance of lead clerks.
  • Assist/work with human resources to maintain training records for all training programs (management, lead, hourly).
  • Initiate follow-up and retraining as required.


Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with all other service center trainers to aid in enhancing training programs that lead toward building an efficient work force and continuous improvement in productivity.
  • Assists in special projects in other areas of the service center as necessary.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate plus at least two years of additional specialized training or education or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Good PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and graphics ability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and frequently use hands and fingers to use computer equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; and reach with hands and arms, and lift/move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision in order to use PC/CRT and read written documents.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
