Job Summary
Prepare the daily cash position for AEP and all subsidiary companies. This includes consolidation and tracking of cash inflows and outflows, maintenance of corporate internal bank balances and execution of electronic funds transfers. Prepare Short-term Forecasting and executing short-term borrowings and investments. Coordinate the recording and reporting of borrowing and investing transactions both long-term and short-term deals. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transaction entry, cash flows and accounting on the system. Ensure accuracy of reports and compliance requirements. Open, close and maintain bank accounts.
Job Description
Although this job is classified as remote, the successful candidate must reside in and around the Columbus, OH area. Occasional travel to the office, or other offices in the Columbus area, may be necessary.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Prepare or assist with preparation of accurate and timely daily cash position for AEP and all subsidiary companies.
2) Execute short-term borrowing and investment deals.
3) Open, close and maintain bank accounts.
4) Assist with coordination of other departments to forecast daily cash needs and funds flows.
5) Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash movements and coordinate with various departments to minimize differences.
6) Monitor balances at the bank and in corporate borrowing program.
7) Execute daily electronic funds movements to fund AEP bank accounts and other payments.
8) Record banking, inter-company receivables and corporate internal bank transactions.
9) Assist with data requests from audits and other requesters.
10) Perform balancing and analyze variances between banking, treasury and general ledger transactions.
11) Coordinate People Soft entry for short/long term debt and investment deals.
12) Assist in system set-up, testing and implementation of new and changed deals.
13) Ensure SOX compliance.
14) Ensure updated documented procedures.
15) Participate in cross training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical demand level is Sedentary These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, preemployment testing, expectations about travel, shift work, etc.
1) Solid written and verbal communication skills.
2) Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on spreadsheets.
3) Solid knowledge of financial theory and experience with systems and technology.
4) Ability to work in a team environment.

Compensation Grade:
SP20-004
Compensation Range:
$51,459.00-64,324.00 USD
Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidate’s expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEP’s staffing needs.
