Tutor Doctor Northern Columbus, a premier private tutoring service, is seeking a Tutor for ELEMENTARY level math and reading in the Plain City, OH area. We are looking for patient, dedicated, and independent individuals.

We provide one-on-one tutoring in-person (and online in some cases), customized to the unique needs of each individual student. If you are passionate about teaching and have a desire to help students reach their educational goals please apply now!

Tutor Doctor tutors have a passion for helping others, and know how to get the best out of the students they work with. Our tutors normally work 2-4 hours per week, typically during the late afternoon and evening hours, Monday through Friday and on weekends. You are free to accept only the assignments that fit your schedule and other key preferences.

Qualifications:

• Be able to travel to the student in their HOME (or other in-person location near the student).
• Have an informative yet relaxed and creative tutoring style - Speak WITH the student not AT them.
• Have good assessment skills and be able to change strategies if they are proving ineffective or the student prefers another learning style.
• Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to and from students' homes.
• Open to complete a background check (or provide current/recent background results).

Experience:

• Teaching or tutoring: Minimum of 1 year (preferred)
• Education: Bachelors Degree (preferred) or experienced college students with a minimum 3.0 or higher GPA
• Teaching Certification is a plus (not required)

* Competitive hourly rate is based on experience and level of education.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
