Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs ultrasound and other radiologic procedures for out-patients according to scope of education and licensure. Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when administering procedures as associated with department policies and procedures and/or as needed by physician/provider. Practices radiation safety in accordance to ALARA principles for protection. Compassionately gives patient care to provide comfort and well-being to the patient acknowledging physiological and psychological needs through policy and procedures governing department. Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignments in an appropriate and timely manner. Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly and accurately according to department guidelines and in a timely manner. Actively participates in charge capture/cost containment activities according to specialty area expectations. Ensures that designated work area is clean and stocked with supplies on an ongoing basis. Operates equipment correctly and reports any needed repairs. Participates in orientation, education and self-development, including student training. Searches for better ways of doing things by recommending and /or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/or services provided. Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides excellent service to all customers (internal and external). Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances. Shows proficiency in use of the JMH and radiology information systems pertaining to job-specific functions. Performs other related duties as assigned. Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health. Conducts all activities in con1pliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and JMH Policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

Graduation from a two-year post-high school education program at an approved ultrasound school or an approved school of radiology required. ARRT or ARDMS credentials required or must be obtained within one year of employment. Two years of previous experience preferred. Current BLS or CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.

SCHEDULE:



8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m./ Three days a week. No weekends or holidays.
48 hours per bi-weekly pay.
