Position Summary:

Provide technical assistance to the nursing staff and performing a variety of computer, clerical, scheduling and supply functions necessary for the operation of a 16-bed geriatric psychiatric care unit. Supports clinical staff with 15-min checks/continuous ligature rounds when possible

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Education:

High School Diploma

Experience:

Minimum one-year working of clerical experience needed. Computer skills

required. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Working in an outpatient

setting is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

BLS Certification required by DMH

Software/Hardware:

Meditech
