Job Description
Primary Purpose Of Job
Uses data analytics to determine cash levels needed in the branches and ATMs based on unforeseen events, low/overage in cash balances and missed cash orders. Responsible for researching and evaluating the Vault’s cash limit(s) and provides the business reason(s) for purchasing cash.
Major Job Accountabilities
- Researches and evaluates the Vault cash limit(s).
- Recommends the purchase of cash due to cash needs of Branches and ATMs.
- Gathers and examines data to produce comprehensive reports and charts.
- Researches and evaluates opportunities for process improvement in collaboration with Vault Services management to improve efficiency.
- Uses data and analytics to monitor cash activity for adherence to bank and other applicable policies, procedures, standards, laws and regulations.
- Researches ATM transactions for reconciliation requests.
- Performs vault reviews (main vault, gift certificates, and etc.).Collaborates with Corporate Services Manager in working with vendors (Loomis, Cardinal, PCI, etc.), managing vendor relationships, and resolving issues with business partners.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Establishes key performance metrics to measure and manage the delivery of departmental objectives.
- Acts as a backup for ATM operations.
- Ensures department strategy, goals and operating procedures align with the Bank’s vision, making appropriate modifications when necessary.
Experience Required
- Three to five (3-5) years of cash handling experience.
- One (1) year of accounting experience with GL reconciliation is a plus.
Required Skills Or Training
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office software and demonstrated ability to quickly learn process automation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and be able to work independently.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills to work collaboratively across the organization.
- Understanding of process improvement fundamentals preferred.
