URGENT CARE OVER NIGHT TECH

Bennett Creek Animal Hospital in Clarksburg, Maryland has an immediate opening for experienced full or part time veterinary technicians. One year of consistent employment at an Urgent Care Veterinary Technician is required.
As a Veterinary Overnight Technician for Urgent Care, you will be a vital part of our team, utilizing your core skills in veterinary experience, animal handling, and veterinary terminology to provide exceptional care to animals in need. Your premium skills in veterinary critical care and laboratory experience will be essential in handling urgent cases and ensuring the well-being of our patients. With relevant skills in animal handling and X-Ray, you will contribute to the comprehensive care provided at our facility. Shift Needed:

Sunday (overnight) 11:30 pm- 7:00 am

Responsibilities include:

• Nursing care or emergency first aid to recovering or injured animals.
• IV catheter placement
• Verbal communication
• Technical understanding
• Takes vital signs and collects samples.
• Administers medications, drugs, and vaccines.
• Supports animal examinations by assembling required supplies and instruments.
• Explains animal status to owners.
• Prepares surgery table instruments.
• Completes local/regional anesthesia.
• Places catheters and obtains blood gases as needed.
• Maintains sterile conditions.
• Obtains and verifies medications.
• Cleans animal cages and equipment
• Assists during operations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
