What does a successful VP IT, Issuer Solutions do at Fiserv?

The VP of Information Technology Issuer Solutions will increase focus and visibility for Issuer Solutions, drive accountability and quality, roadmap delivery, appropriate level of innovation and transformation through standardization for the industry and sustain engineering managed. The person will lead delivery of teams across development to implementation to production support and resources through alignment and appropriate prioritization.

What you will do:

• Leads team and others through strategic organizational change initiatives.

• Partners with business stakeholders, client’s relationship managers and senior leadership to deliver on strategic roadmaps.

• Oversees development and delivery while be the single escalation point to senior leadership.

• Structures team to ensure engagement and alignment of resources and skills to address support, development, and client delivery expectations per roadmap.

• Able to lead managers and technologists, groom and build succession plan.

• Strong background in software development, and good understanding of modern practices like cloud, DevOps, agile, java, APIs, modern frameworks, databases etc.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree; 10 + years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.

• 10 + years of Finance Services experience desired.

• 15 + years of experience in the O&T sector required.

• Experience with quality Root Cause Analysis, use of standard templates, reviews, and accuracy.

What would be great to have:

• Global leadership experience required.

• Exceptional Communication Skills –must possess the ability to build productive working partnerships. Ability to translate the needs of the business into terms the technology staff can understand and translate what technology can accomplish into workable solutions. Ability to craft compelling business cases that incorporate capital and operating expenses as well as total cost of ownership projections. Demonstrate the ability to develop and facilitate/present information appropriate to C-level employees down to all employees within their organization. This includes written and verbal communications as well as visualization.

• A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.

• Must possess strong leadership and technical capabilities.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, Hawaii, New York or Washington.
