We are currently hiring for: Vice President

The Vice President will hold key responsibilities such as identifying opportunities for growth, interfacing with sales management to gain additional business through expanded product offerings and finding new customer segments for future business. The Vice President is also expected to take a lead role in developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers/brokers which are key to success of the business.

Leadership:

  • Serves as a positive change agent within the organization and a role model for the company’s core values.
  • Working closely with sales team, logistics, and purchasing
  • Ability to manage by delegation as a means of creating learning opportunities and bringing diverse perspective with a track record of holding people accountable.
  • Create a sustainable culture of process improvement by driving learning and process improvement feedback loops throughout Operations.
  • Identify and address operational issues by working collaboratively with colleagues across the company to resolve issues, limit cross-company negative impacts and share learnings.
  • Advises the CEO on business strategy, stakeholder relations, and critical partnerships.

Operations:

  • Provide a work environment that prioritizes the health and safety of our employees.
  • Oversees compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Evaluate and improve operations to move the business from Good to Great.
  • Ability to define and implement a scalable strategic growth plan.
  • Ensure daily business practices meet operational goals and produce maximum efficiency.
  • Provides support for intermediate and long-term facilities capacity planning and execution in alignment with/in anticipation of company growth and acquisition plans.
  • Manage and optimize operational performance related to warehouse layout, delivery routes, efficient warehouse operations and other programs to enhance profitability.
  • Direct and oversee transportation-related operations.

Financial:

  • Works closely with CFO and Finance team on multi-year projections, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Managing activity within defined annual plan targets while delivering performance objectives
  • Set operational goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for departments to evaluate performance and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Create and leverage procurement strategies across the spectrum of purchases to maximize value for the organization.
  • Establish key metrics to monitor Company performance for team and corporate management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university, (MBA) preferred.
  • Ten years of experience working in a distribution environment, preferably in the perishable food industry
  • Seven to ten years of progressive leadership and change management experience.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to set vision and strategy for operations and lead the organization through large scale change.
  • Must possess a constructive and collaborative leadership style that drives engagement, excellence, and accountability.
  • Lead by example that demonstrates the core values of company.
  • Deliver high-quality service to customers.
  • Manage the team to ensure that all business functions are performed in accordance with corporate policies, programs, and sound business practice.
  • Build and maintain relationships that guide, motivate, and reinforce positive performance of all Company team members toward goal accomplishments.
  • Seek and provide performance feedback and coaching and develop self and others to improve capabilities in current role to prepare for future roles.
  • Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.
