Land of Lincoln Goodwill Industries, a mission driven social enterprise, is seeking a Vice President of Retail Operations to provide the vision and strategic leadership to develop and ensure the success of long- and short-term goals, business plans, programs and financial stability for the Retail Operations department.
This position will provide strategic direction to a team responsible for 14 stores with operating revenues of $12 million. Our territory includes 37 counties that cover an area from the Mississippi River to the Indiana border and from Bloomington, IL south to Vandalia. Key elements of the position are leadership of staff, financial savvy, and understanding of complex used goods production and retail operations.
This senior management level position requires demonstrated experience in retail operations with P&L responsibility, leadership in a complex business environment as well as an understanding of the needs of individuals with barriers to employment. Requires Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Masters degree preferred.

Job Summary
Oversees the Retail and Production divisions in an operation that includes donated goods resale and limited new goods sales. Maximizes revenues from donated goods. Creates and drives new business opportunities, expands into new markets and launches innovative products and services. Continually promotes and ensures satisfactory relationships with internal and external customers. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, collaborates to provide strategic direction to other members of leadership.

Education, Experience and Credentials
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field; masters degree preferred.
Requires seven years of retail management experience with oversight of multiple locations with five years demonstrated leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires above average proficiency of the Google suite or Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel; and the ability to utilize other software such as point of sale and human resource information systems.
Requires knowledge of and experience with cost management accounting, financial and profit and loss statements.
Maintains confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations, financial matters and personnel matters.
Requires excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and collaboration skills; understands statistical process control.
Requires a high level of demonstrated professionalism, integrity, business conduct and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements
Scope of work includes office, light industrial and warehouse settings.
Requires ability to work within the context of these environments sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 30 pounds.
Environmental Conditions
Fast paced environment with short deadlines and regular instances of critical or unusual situations.
Requires ability to work in a light industrial/warehouse setting with moderate exposure to heat, cold, dirt, dust, pet hair, mold, metals, rubber, plastics, latex, and other allergens.
Subject to work in an office, light warehouse, store showroom and surrounding grounds setting.
Requires frequent travel to LLGI locations.
Tools and Equipment
Basic office equipment including computer, calculator, photocopier, printer, scanner and telephone. Basic retail and/or warehouse equipment, cash register/ point of sale (POS) system, credit card machine. Company vehicle.
