Job Description

You will be responsible for physically receiving items and ensuring orders arrive undamaged. Maintains software systems to manage short and long-term inventory. Tracks items leaving the warehouse for job sites or deliveries to customers and handles any shipping duties. Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Matches purchase orders with shipment received.
  • Maintains receiving documentation, such as packing list, shipping manifests, etc. passing them along to the Procurement Coordinator as requested.
  • Conducts quality check on incoming shipments refusing obvious damaged material.
  • Conducts and oversees electronic tests (as required) for items that need further testing upon receiving.
  • Places received items on job pallet or on inventory shelf.
  • Updates inventory systems when shipments are received.
  • Keeps track of inventory and replenish as required.
  • Maintains accuracy of physical inventory.
  • Maintains and monitor inventory control systems tracking items inside the warehouse and items coming in and going out.
  • Organizes and maintains the warehouse for efficient material storage and handling and ensures that items are properly stored and are secured.
  • Maintains and operates the forklift and other machinery used to move items around in the warehouse.
  • Other duties of a similar nature and level may also be assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1+ years’ materials handling/warehouse experience which includes shipping/receiving responsibilities. Experience in the a/v integration industry or other industry that deals with technological systems/parts is helpful but not required.
  • Must have the proven ability to successfully work independently and manage daily responsibilities with minimal oversight
  • Will have previous experience accurately managing a computerized inventory system and preparing materials for loading/shipment.
  • Excellent organizational ability, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing deadlines a must.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and excellent work attendance record
  • Must have previous experience safely driving a forklift in a warehouse environment, moving/lifting loads onto a materials storage racking system
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license with an insurable driving record

Physical demands and work environment:

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit, climb and balance. Work requires the ability to frequently lift/move up to fifty pounds, work at elevated heights and exposure to non-climate-controlled environments
