We began as a manufacturer in 1991 in Chesapeake, VA. In 2007, the Direct Sales Division, a non-stock requisition business opened in Miramar, FL.

Who we are looking for:

The function of the Order Selector is to select Sales or Production Orders using a handheld device or other method safely, accurately, and efficiently.

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Pick order(s) according to the pick ticket(s) assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager, ensuring that the item number, quantity, lot, unit of measure, etc. of each order line are accurate.
  • Uses RF Scanner and/or other WMS tools to facilitate proper picking of orders.
  • Perform visual inspection of products to ensure Kerma provides quality products to our customers.
  • Stages small parcel orders for checking and shipping as needed.
  • Builds and stages acceptable pallets for freight orders for checking and shipping.
  • Inspects and maintains warehouse equipment. Documents findings to ensure all equipment is within operational and safety requirements. Reports any issues with equipment to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
  • Uses all equipment safely and within operational standards.
  • As needed, assists in the unloading of goods following all established processes.
  • Assist in physical inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures listed on respective job description training matrix or assigned ad-hoc topics.
  • Ensures all productivity, quality, and safety metrics are met.
  • Maintain warehouse documentation requirements as defined in the QMS.
  • Makes suggestions to improve warehouse operations.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary working environment to ensure proper storage and delivery of products as defined in our quality standards. Ensure warehouse is consistently “visitor ready.”
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual, including safety, security, and quality.
  • Provide high quality customer service to all in-house personnel, customers, and vendors.
  • Promptly respond to all internal and external inquiries.
  • Ensure the warehouse is secure prior to departure at the end of day.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties including special projects as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

Things you need to succeed in this position:

Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or GED
  • Must be able to use WMS applications and hardware efficiently.
  • Must be able to be trained on a forklift/reach lift.
  • Must be able to use a baler and RF scanner.
  • Must have a “can do” attitude.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
