Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Safely transport products throughout the warehouse while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize basic math skills to accurately count, track, and record inventory levels during loading and unloading processes.
• Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval of goods.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a clean work environment.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety, quality control, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation is a plus.
• Ability to operate various types of lift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory management.
• Must be able to lift heavy loads as required by the job duties.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• A valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable but can be obtained upon hiring if necessary.
