Join us at the cutting edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Worldwide Environment team (focusing on waste, water, circularity and biodiversity) utilizes science-based approaches to lower Amazon’s environmental impact in the areas of waste, water, and biodiversity across the operations of our business units and products, making meaningful and measurable impacts in the communities in which we operate.

The Worldwide Environment Team is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the company’s water stewardship program. In this role, you will develop and oversee replenishment projects that support Amazon’s water stewardship program. You will work with global partners to identify opportunities for restoring watersheds, expanding water access, and improving water system efficiency in regions where Amazon operates. You will develop a portfolio of projects, oversee project implementation, and own long-term project maintenance and reporting workstreams.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work with external partners to source replenishment projects for 10-15 watersheds per year
  • Manage relationships with existing partners and ensure that projects deliver sustainable benefits for targeted watersheds
  • Track project pipeline for replenishment projects in targeted watersheds
  • Work with internal teams to complete contracting and payment processes for all projects
  • Work with external partners to identify and validate volumetric benefits of replenishment projects
  • Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
  • Communicate about Amazon’s water stewardship work
  • 20-30% travel requirements for project implementation and meeting with regional teams
