Position overview

CPS (Commercial Products Supply) is a key part of the Advantaged Supply Chain of the Technical Function of The Coca-Cola Company. CPS manufactures concentrates and beverage bases for sale to bottling partners all over the world. This global organization manages a network of 18 manufacturing plants in 17 different countries.

As a key member of the CPS QSE Team, the CPS Water Stewardship Manager will drive TCCC 2030 Water Strategy implementation across the CPS system.

The role will lead water quality improvement, as well as water efficiency improvement, support the implementation of Alliance for Water Stewardship standard (AWS), and develop Regenerative Water Use. This will include the implementation of needed processes, programs, metrics, and technologies to deliver performance and results, closely working within the Network Organization with Corporate, CPS, OU Technical and PACS and relevant stakeholders.

This leader will benchmark internally and externally, leverage best-in-class systems and processes for system integration, collaborate across functions, be result oriented, be a self-starter and creative, have constructive curiosity, and will bring innovative solutions to the table, knowing that "one size does not fit all." Should be proficient in influencing and driving change through engagement with all levels of the organization.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

Drive Water Efficiency and Water Quality Improvements

  • Drive water efficiency, provide subject matter expertise on water quality, water treatment, wastewater quality, wastewater treatment, reuse water quality and treatment within CPS sites, ensuring compliance with TCCC KORE water quality and treatment requirements.
  • Provide assistance with any water related issues: for root cause analysis and action plan definition.
  • Develop a Global on-line Water Monitoring Program to support quality requirement as well as consumption efficiency.
  • Develop a structured and networked CIP Optimization program to improve water efficiency.
  • Bring innovation and new technologies, to drastically improve water quality and water efficiency.
  • Support robust water related change management program.
  • Leverage the Company tools such as "Water Efficiency Maturity Set Assessment" and "True Cost of Water".
  • Build CPS water efficiency roadmap and glidepath based on projects pipeline and associated CAPEX plan for water reduction, replenish project to drive water regeneration and meeting AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship) principles.

Support Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) implementation and continuous improvement

  • Develop CPS Community capabilities in term of Source Vulnerability Assessment (SVA), Water management Plan (WMP) and AWS standard.
  • Support CPS sites to update their SVA, review the CPS sites SVA and WMP, and develop overall CPS Vulnerabilities heat map.
  • Support sites already certified to continue improve their management system to satisfy Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS).
  • Bring all CPS sites to AWS certification by 2025.
  • Community Relations: help define and implement action plans for all sites.
  • Build CPS AWS community project pipelines and budget tracking.

Develop Regenerative Water Use

  • Develop CPS Community capabilities in term of Regenerative Water Use and Replenish initiatives.
  • Support CPS sites in close collaboration with OUs Technical and PACS Sustainability experts to implement replenish projects.
  • Contribute to Replenish projects bi-annual TCCC reporting.
  • Track CPS replenish and community projects related costs.

Measure Water Stewardship performance and Report

  • Developed relevant water indicators to ensure sustainable progress and costs follow up.
  • Ensure sustainability data are reported accurately and timely.
  • Analyze trends and use them to drive relevant strategies and for predictive analysis.
  • Share CPS progress and initiatives within TCCC Network
  • Support TCCC ESG data insurance process
  • Support the site to connect with OU PACS for external water stewardship communications needs, as per AWS.

Orchestrate the CPS Water Network & Contribute to TCCC Water Networks

  • Lead an internal global network of associates working together to address water challenges and deliver as per our 2030 strategy.
  • Ensure Best Practices sharing
  • Actively contribute, provide subject matter expertise to TCCC Global Environment Network.

Education requirements & related work experience

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree, in Environment or relevant technical area (water treatment, water technology).
  • 5 to 10+ years in Water/Environment/sustainability experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Project management knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent IT skills (e.g.: MS Word, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to analyze complex data and report in a clear manner to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership presence and cultural awareness skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, relevant technical advice to professionals in the building and maintenance fields.
  • The ability to liaise and obtain buy-in to service requirements from senior level stakeholders across a large complex organization.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of water reduction techniques, water and wastewater treatment technologies.
  • In-depth technical knowledge and understanding of water stakeholders, policies, and related legislation.
