Looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Store Manager who is passionate about managing the newly opened premium Wine & Liquor store in Manchester, CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of liquor industry trends, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven track record of organizational and effective management skills. The store manager would work under limited supervision of the Operations Head and help drive the business profitability.
Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day operations.
· Maintain clean and organized store.
· Assist customers with product selections, and suggestions on products available in the store and answer questions to their satisfaction level.
· Restock/maintain adequate stock and place orders as needed with suppliers to effectively manage inventory.
· Receiving deliveries from vendors and arranging them in stock room
· Fulfil online orders, package them and keep them ready for shipment.
· Monitor security cameras in the store to identify potential theft risks and engage local law enforcement departments as needed.
· Run weekly inventory report, identify fast & slow-moving items and provide status to Operations head.
· Provide exceptional customer service and prompt resolution to customer complaints while maintaining positive shopping experience.
· Develop and implement marketing strategies to run weekly specials to attract new customers and retain existing customers.
· Host wine tasting and other promotional events to increase store traffic and drive sales.
· Coaching and mentoring of new staff members and fostering a customer-friendly environment.
· Stay up to date on industry trends and follow state alcohol sales regulations to ensure compliance.
· Perform other essential duties as needed or directed by the Operation Head.
Basic Qualifications:
· High school or equivalent, Associate (Preferred)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in retail wine and liquor store, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Strong knowledge of various wines, liquor types, brands, and industry trends.
· Inventory management and cash register experience.
