Job Summary and Qualifications

• Competently delivers and documents nursing care to the OB/GYN patient population.
• Initiates and documents patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Uses appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.
• Ensures personal and departmental safety and readiness to respond to emergencies.
• Demonstrates knowledge of gyn and general surgery patients, antepartum, and postpartum patients; and completes all assessments and appropriate interventions according to the unit standards for patients who range in age from menses to geriatric.
• Performs clinical nursing duties according to unit standards and policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates effective decision making and leadership relative to experience level.

Qualifications

• Required: Previous OB/GYN or Women’s Health Experience
• Preferred: Previous management or leadership experience
• Current licensure as an RN
• Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
