Job Summary
This ministry leader serves to connect with and engage youth (ages 12-18, grades 7th-12th) and young adults (ages 18-30) in the life of the church. It is a program \management, teaching and supporting position that oversees fellowship, discipleship, and faith development through activities, events and service opportunities.

Main Responsibilities
· Plan, create and implement scripture-based lessons for the Jr. and Sr. High students and young adults.

· Plan and oversee youth Sunday morning classes and youth group.

· Recruit, organize and oversee volunteers for youth Sunday morning classes, youth and young adult groups.

· Maintain and oversee Safe Sanctuary required clearances for ministry specific volunteers.

· Support volunteer leaders and class members for each ministry meeting by providing materials, activities, and other needs throughout the year.

· Plan and provide opportunities, both inside and outside of the church setting, to promote spiritual growth and inclusion for those who fall in the above ministries.

· Intentionally spend time developing and investing in relationships with youth and young adults by being present and supportive in their everyday lives, meeting outside of the church setting within the constraints of Safe Sanctuary guidelines.

· Engage in/organize community events, retreats, camps, and mission opportunities.

· Maintain the ministries social media platforms and webpage, working with the communication specialist to advertise effectively and efficiently for ministry events using the various church communication platforms.

· Communicate effectively with youth, youth parents, young adults, ministry volunteers, church leadership teams, other staff members and congregation members.

Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry or related field, and at least two yrs of experience in youth ministry leadership.

· Ability to demonstrate servant leadership in all areas of life.

· Excellent people skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially with youth and young adults.

· An awareness of the varying needs of the persons being served in the above ministries and a passion for reaching each person with the love of Jesus Christ.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
