Job Description

The CNC Operator is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set up and operate multiple CNC and manual machining equipment and workstations
Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gaging equipment
Make offsets and adjustments as required
Investigate and efficiently assist with diagnosis and resolution of equipment and quality problems, production delays or stoppages
Independently adjust and maintain part specifications and replenish component components
Inform Facilitator or Department Manager about processes or equipment requiring attention
Complete documentation as required or requested
Participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity and quality, especially those related to corrective actions
Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
Practice 5Ss
