Global Partners is currently looking for someone who can help lead Data Science and Machine Learning at Global Partners! As a Data Scientist at Global Partners, you will play a crucial role in owning development of Data Science and Machine Learning models from our vast data sources and contributing to data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, build predictive models, and develop actionable recommendations. Your daily tasks may vary from mentoring data scientists and analysts, to developing dynamic pricing models, all while deploying systems in a cloud environment. You will also ensure that your findings are understandable to a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders.

Your expertise will guide the creation of sophisticated algorithms and complex analytical tools that forecast market trends, optimize operational processes, and drive strategic decision-making. By harnessing the latest in machine learning, from neural networks to decision trees, you will help us stay ahead of the curve in a dynamic marketplace. Your remit will include advancing our predictive capabilities, automating data-driven processes, and refining our approach to big data analytics.

  • Utilize data science techniques to extract insights into product features, user behavior, and business metrics.
  • Develop and refine AI models for demand forecasting using a mix of statistical, machine learning, and deep learning methods.
  • Build foundational time series forecasting models with transformer architectures to enhance prediction accuracy.
  • Design algorithms to process large, diverse datasets, maintaining high data integrity and usability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data pipelines tailored for different modeling needs.
  • Foster a data-driven culture by building networks that support proactive decision-making across the organization.
  • Synthesize findings to influence product strategy and business decisions, presenting clear, actionable insights.
  • Engage in collaborative projects to refine data models and address complex business challenges such as customer segmentation and pricing strategies.
  • Deploy scalable systems on platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS, and stay updated on industry advancements to incorporate into projects.
  • Promote a learning environment that encourages team development and the adoption of new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Economics, or Physics, complemented by 3+ years of industry experience in Data Science or Analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data-driven insights to influence key business and engineering decisions, with proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experienced in designing and implementing experiments using statistical and machine learning methods to create effective models.
  • Skilled in managing large-scale data storage and analysis using technologies like Spark, Presto, Hive, and Hadoop, and proficient in building advanced data pipelines.
  • Effective at communicating complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, ranging from technical teams to executive stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in business analytics, with a focus on executing projects that balance research with practical outcomes.
  • Knowledgeable in deploying scalable machine learning models, with domain expertise in sectors like e-commerce, sales & marketing, or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with advanced AI tools such as langchain, llamaindex, huggingface, and AWS SageMaker, enhancing the ability to develop innovative AI solutions.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
