Community organization based in Akron is seeking an experienced home health professional to join their team in their day center. 

SHIFT: 1st (8:30s-3:30p) M-F

PAY: $15/hr.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Home Health Aide to join our team at the Day Center. The ideal candidate will have a great personality, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others. The Home Health Aide will assist in daily activities, including feeding and cooking for clients, and will be actively involved in organizing and participating in recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including feeding, personal hygiene, and mobility.
• Plan, organize, and lead activities, crafts, and games that are engaging and suitable for developmentally disabled individuals.
• Prepare and cook meals for clients, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
• Provide companionship and support to clients, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.
• Monitor and document clients' progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive care environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and a passion for engaging in activities with clients.
• Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to care.
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of dietary needs.
