Medical office seeking Part time dedicated , motivated medical receptionist/office assistant.

Work in a small team environment improving the heath of our community. Work Tuesday -Friday & have a long weekend. The candidate will have a minimum of one year medical experience with appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, EHR, and customer service. Must also possess excellent communication and computer skills, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • accurately and efficiently perform computerized scheduling and pre-registration duties by answering phones, scheduling appointments, disclosing relevant information (i.e. billing, directions, etc.) contacting patients to confirm appointments and accurately entering patient demographic, insurance and other relevant information into the computer system with appropriate follow-through when necessary.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Basic understanding of ICD 10 and CPT coding and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Excellent customer service and organizing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service skills including answering all patient telephone inquiries.
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment with a positive attitude, willingness to take initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work courteously with fellow employees, clients and patients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree or 2 years of college preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, word & excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Medical office experience required.

Job Type: Part-time
