Position: Project Manager, TEAM UP Scaling and Sustainability Center

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: 20 - 24 hours per week, Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY:



The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination/completion of a specified project or projects. Oversees all aspects of projects, defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support project goals. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for project directors regarding status of project.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage project development from beginning of project lifecycle to end.
  • Coordinate all project events, meetings, and activities, including pre-event planning, agenda setting, note taking, and tracking of follow up activities.
  • Track project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with project leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and communicate project issues within the project team; collaborate with project leadership to identify solutions.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools. Track and follow-up on project milestones and deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in public health or social work with a focus on project management, other health-related field or field related to the project. Advanced degree preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Project Management Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desired.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of programmatic, research or project management experience, including managing all aspects of process development and execution.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Experience writing project reports required.
  • Familiarity with pediatric primary care setting and behavioral health services delivery.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, including Scheduling, Planning, Tracking, Cost Control and Budgeting Tools. Familiarity various software programs and strong computer skills required, including proficiency in PowerPoint/Excel/Word and Outlook. Proficiency is Visio, REDCAP, and other graphic software desired.
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following products may be required: PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Access, as well as Outlook, and Visio).
  • Leadership skills and ability to be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of the team and staff, ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; to set priorities and solve problems; to respond quickly to emergency requests.

This position is funded by a 1- year grant. There may be opportunity beyond this grant funding for position integration into ongoing operations.

TEAM UP for Children is a pediatric behavioral health integration initiative in which Boston Medical Center collaborates with primary care sites to expand access to quality behavioral health care for children and families in multicultural pediatric settings. At its core, TEAM UP is a social justice initiative, aimed at increasing access to services and quality care in structurally marginalized communities.
