We are looking for a Referral Coordinator to join our team and complete various administrative tasks to support our clients. The ideal candidate is a high energy, charismatic and personable professional. You must have the ability to connect with the community. The position will be a hybrid of office/community. Must be able to handle a fast-paced workload. Must be self-motivated and ambitious. Must have the ability to evolve and adapt per client.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on referrals to promote team awareness and ensure patient safety
• Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographic and current insurance information
• Assemble information concerning patient’s clinical background and referral needs
• Provide appropriate clinical information to specialist
• Contact review organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met
• Provide specific medical information to financial services to maximize reimbursement to the hospital and physicians.
• Review details and expectations about the referral with patients
• Sending/creating referral documentation to various departments
• Initiating and answering inbound/outbound phone calls
• Documenting details of referrals

Requirements and skills

• Proven work experience as a Referral Coordinator or similar role
• Strong customer service focus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Teamwork orientation
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Referral Coordinator
• Prior mental health/substance abuse experience
• Highly personable and outgoing personality
• Reliable transportation
• Detailed oriented and organized

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Insurance verification: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Concord, NC 28027 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Concord, NC 28027: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
