Position Summary 

A Consultant is someone who is eager to help protect a portfolio of Global 2000 websites from malicious and automated threats. This individual must be able to earn the respect and trust of each customer through knowledge and understanding of service delivery and how these fit into our customer's overall environment. You will review unique business and technical project parameters and define a successful solution for implementing and integrating our Enterprise Defense. A successful candidate must be detail-oriented, capable of independently solving complex technical problems and communicating clearly and efficiently to both technical and business audiences. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Oversee the installation and implementation of F5's security as a service solution for Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies. 

  • Proactively anticipate customer needs and facilitate project success. 

  • Act as the primary representative between our customers and F5. 

  • Collaborate with Engineering/Product teams to develop technical solutions and automation tools to improve product capabilities. 

  • Create and review documentation and processes related to recurring incidents, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer materials, etc. 

  • Collaborate with peers, managers, and team members across the organization to solve problems, develop new processes, and build efficient systems. 

Requirements: 

  • Experience in Web Application Firewall, Bot Defense, API Security, DDOS, Reputation Service, and Multi Cloud networking. 

  • CCNP or equivalent experience in network troubleshooting (routing, subnetting, network tools, etc.) 

  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools like Wireshark, Charles, Fiddler, packet capture, and TCP Dump 

  • Deep understanding of Linux Systems 

  • Experience with at least one of the Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) 

  • Knowledge/hands-on experience with Kubernetes. 

  • Knowledge/hands-on experience with Terraform/Ansible.

  • A working knowledge of virtual machine or container technology (VMware, KVM, OpenStack, Docker) is a plus.

  • Preference for candidates with experience with various scripting languages (bash, python, etc.)

  • Experience working with major Load Balancers and Network devices. 

  • Preference for candidates with experience with Content Delivery Networks and reverse proxy. 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related engineering discipline, OR equivalent industry work experience. 

  • Certification is preferred but optional based on the level of experience. 

  • A customer-centric attitude and the ability to communicate well at all levels of an organization. 

  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $130,705.00 - $196,057.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
