Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to lead a team of (8-12) project managers, assistant project managers, and project coordinators.

• Process General Contractor Contracts

• Manage tracking and distribute Request for Information (RFI)

• Manage & coordinate and ensure timely processing changed order (CO)

•  

  8eviews project proposals and plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures for project completion, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases

• Ensures that all contractual terms and obligations of such projects are maintained
• Identify opportunities for change orders and establish cost through communication with sales, estimating and engineering where applicable.
• Review purchase orders and specifications on new jobs to ensure the work scope is consistent with the bid.
• Host project meetings as needed
• Visit job sites as needed and required.
• Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as needed
• Meet and confer with Owner, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Detailers, and Plant and Field crews to verify accuracy and completeness of all construction drawings.
• Prepares reports for management. Meet with key personnel to ensure timeliness of project.
• Directs, coordinates and monitors activities being completed by project teams to ensure the overall quality of work.

Required Education and Experience

8+ years of experience project management in steel erection/construction

3+ years of experience as senior project management in steel erection/construction

Solid understanding of structural steel detailing

Proficiency in reading architectural and structural drawings a must

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
