Job Summary

The Configurations Analyst ensures the integrity of the health plans claims processing function by reviewing, analyzing and configuring the health plans’ core system platforms. The Configurations Analyst obtains and analyzes the internal workflow, setup and design of the software applications. The Configurations Analyst consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, creates documentation to describe program development, benefit logic, medical coding, work instructions and corrections. The Configuration Analyst interprets the manuals prepared for users to describe operating procedures; uses experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals; performs a variety of complicated tasks to ensure that the core claims system is configured correctly by reviewing the system components, and validating the configuration aligns to the legal plan documents and regulatory requirements. Develop a deep understanding of the system capabilities and evaluate requirements to determine configuration design to assure company objectives are met. Provide analysis and documentation that supports configuration management, design, requirements traceability, and audits controls needed to meet state and federal regulatory requirements. Develops and improve work flows and business processes within area(s) to improve customer service, decrease operational costs, and improve overall quality.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or GED is required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three (3) years’ experience in a like role of complex system design; Five (5) or more years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00am -5:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $23.75 - $36.00 per hour
