Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a Manager of Admissions and Referrals to manage the daily operations of the Assessment and Referral Center team with a purpose of creating a positive patient experience.

Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Responsibilities will include:

  • Supervises the ARC department, including hiring and training staff, and ensuring adequate staffing and effective department operations.
  • Oversees daily activities, including managing relationships with internal and external customers, conducting assessments, and maintaining administrative documentation.
  • Identifies strategies to improve department success and patient experience, and provides guidance to staff in acute situations.
  • Responds to inquiries, conducts clinical assessments, and documents calls and information in electronic systems, while also performing other duties as assigned by the Director.

Minimum:

  • Masters in Social Worker or related field or Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a hospital setting, including assessing and processing patient admissions
  • Experience staffing to FTEs and meeting budgetary and operational guidelines
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of mental health resources and referral sources in the geographic area
  • Experience tracking and interpreting data

Preferred:

  • Clinical Licensure (LMSW, LSCW, etc.) preferred

*UHS benefits are available to employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week. Coverage is effective on day 31 of employment. Eligibility for employees who are scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week varies by location.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
