Summary of Position (Job Purpose)
  • Major purpose and functions of the position.

  • The Manager, Digital Incentives and Coupons will lead the Family Dollar rewards and digital coupons programs, including program strategy, promotion management, and performance analyses to drive growth through acquisition, engagement, and retention. The Manager will collaborate internally and externally, serving as the primary point of contact for these initiatives and the day-to-day executional lead with direct reports. Partnering with the Director, CMG, the Manager will help shape the company’s approach to customer incentive marketing, develop lifecycle marketing campaigns for email and mobile marketing channels.

    This role will also partner with leadership on strategy and future growth of the rewards programs. The Manager should possess the ability to analyze data and customer trends, manage multiple projects, and have strong communication and influencing skills. The role is also responsible for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, and must be skilled to synthesize data and findings into executive-level presentations with actionable recommendations.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance

    • Serve as the day-to-day executional lead for digital coupons and rewards, providing direction and guidance to direct reports
    • Build and implement cross-channel strategies that promote acquisition, engagement, and retention, leveraging customer data and insights to recommend relevant audiences for marketing campaigns
    • Deliver personalized, targeted, and relevant offers and content to enhance the consumer experience
    • Manage weekly, monthly, and seasonal programmatic performance analyses
    • Manage digital coupons and rewards budget in conjunction with the Director
    • Oversee day-to-day management of offer coordination, review, approval, and verification, both internally and externally
    • Monitor internal systems as it relates to the digital offers program and make adjustments/optimizations as needed, including management/maintenance of business rules
    • Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business questions for marketing and other departments (e.g. IT, Store Operations, Merchandising, and Strategy/Insights), including development of reports
    • Possess a transformation-first mentality to lead organizational change while coaching, mentoring, and developing team members towards professional accountability
    • Work flexibly to adapt to shifting priorities within the team, department, and company

    Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, economics, or related field
    • 2-5 years of loyalty, rewards/coupons, or customer data marketing experience with increasing scope in responsibilities and leadership
    • 1-3 years of digital marketing, analytics, customer segmentation, or loyalty marketing experience
    • 2+ years in a leadership or management role
    • Strong knowledge of customer data, marketing journeys, and profile management
    • Proven experience with successful omnichannel marketing campaigns across a variety of channels to promote a productive customer experience with
    • Inquisitive, customer-focused mindset, motivated to meet customer’s expectations and needs
    • Excellent communication skills at all levels of management
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams that may require coordination/collaboration with several departments
    • Demonstrated experience using analytics to make fact-based decisions that improve the effectiveness and the efficiencies of all marketing activities
    • Strong financial, quantitative analytics, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
    • Ability to shift seamlessly between operating strategically and leading day-to-day tactical execution

    Desired Qualifications
  • Desired but not required.

    • Previous role with customer data knowledge preferred
    • Prior experience working in MicroStrategy
    • Proficiency managing and delivering technical solutions
