Overview

IGT is the global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution, and sales of computerized lottery and gaming equipment, software, and network systems. We are driven to be innovative – developing and delivering award-winning products and technology.

This position is in the Design Quality Assurance organization based out of WG, Rhode Island, reporting to the DQA Manager.

Responsibilities

Support the testing and verification of both new and updated hardware designs as well as product Firmware and Firmware updates by handling the following:

  • Performs various functional testing operations of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, devices, and complete terminals.
  • Perform basic diagnostic testing on devices using embedded test menus.
  • Audits, inspects, and reviews material being tested throughout the tests to identify early failures or performance deficiencies.
  • Gathers test data and records it in appropriate forms and spreadsheets while tests are being performed.
  • Prepare test materials and documents ( if needed ) in preparation for performing product testing.
  • Perform minor repairs and updates on material and devices ( with instruction )
  • Identifies and communicates failures, defects, or other non-conformances to appropriate personnel and management and records them on designated documents.
  • Ability to read and verify products to Engineering Specifications.
  • Work with multiple teams to solve issues cross-functionally.
  • Organize test data being collected to aid in making decisions on product acceptability, conformity, and performance reliability.
  • Performs basic inspections of printed materials, comparing them to the specifications to determine adherence to the design specifications.
  • Performs simple durability testing of printed materials to determine adherence to the specifications and records the data in existing forms.
  • Assists other team members in the preparation and setup of test units, instruments, materials, etc.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1+ years in a Manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years in a Quality Assurance environment.
  • Must have strong communication and writing skills
  • Familiarity and use of basic bench tools including but not limited to hand tools, DMMs, Analog meters, as well as basic precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • PC skills- Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a very high demand and high output environment with extreme efficiency.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and carry items and equipment weighing up to forty (40) pounds.

Preferred

  • Additional PC skills- Proficient in SAP, and Enovia.
  • Have basic knowledge of computer electronics.
  • Have the fundamental ability to read Engineering blueprints, specifications
  • Some technical school or college course completion is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic familiarity with ISO 9001 and the associated requirements.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $43,680- $51,792. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses . Pay: $21.00 per hour
